Each trip comes with its own grand Apostle Islands experience! Find your dream trip below and head to our booking site to reserve a spot. If you’re staying at Madeline Island, free pick-up and drop-off is offered so no need to ferry over to Bayfield. Customized tours are also encouraged, just email Capt Sue with your ideas and we can come up with a tour that fits you! Online booking requires 24 hr notice. However, you can call Capt Sue if less than 24 hrs to check availability and book your tour.

Bayfield Area Sunset Tour & Shipwreck

Romance, serenity, and restoration are the words that come to mind on this tour! Are you planning a romantic getaway?? This tour is perfect for a marriage proposal, a birthday gift, or simply to enjoy a few hours at sunset on this beautiful lake.


Devil’s Islands Sea Caves Tour (3-4 hours)
Enjoy a boat ride out to one of the most beautiful and northernmost Apostle Island- known for its enchanting and majestic sea caves! And see two of the 8 lighthouses in the Apostle Islands- the one on Devil’s and the one on Raspberry Island. In addition, if time, see one or two of Lake Superior’s shipwrecks and hear about what happened to these ships and their crew. You have the option to bring your own snacks-or you can preorder a “Snackle-box” to enjoy on your trip.

Stockton Island Beach & Hike (4 hours)
The 2nd largest island, after Madeline, in the Apostle Islands. Enjoy a boat ride out to Stockton’s Quarry Bay or Presque Isle where you will get off the boat and enjoy a hike and/or a swim or walk along the sandy beach. See the remains of the Hermit Island Brownstone Quarry and, if time, look at one of Lake Superior’s shipwrecks. Please note this tour does not include the sea stacks.

Bayfield Shoreline & Shipwreck Tour (day tour) or Water Taxi Service to Oak or Stockton

Enjoy views of the beautiful rocky shoreline as we venture out to find three shipwrecks (weather permitting)- the Finn McCool, Fedora, and (if time) the Ottawa- all of which have their own stories to tell. Learn about the history of Lake Superior shipwrecks and use a special viewer to amplify the underwater views.

Accessibility – making this available for everyone!
We’ve installed a sturdy handrail on the boat and added a convenient step on the dock to enhance accessibility for boarding. The boat is equipped with a bimini top for those who wish to enjoy shade from the sun.

Sunday, September 27th, 10 am- Painting on the Island
Mark your calendar for this new Wild Pursuits Event- Painting at Stockton Island- Sunday, September 27th! Boat departs from the Pikes Bay Marina at 10 am. Dana Johnson, a local artist, will offer guidance and supplies to participants as needed. This event is now booked. Look for another one next summer!

Themed boat tours-create your own tour!
We had a wild crew of imaginative ladies who decided to craft their very own Lake Superior Mermaid Tour! Rumor has it they’re swimming back next summer for a pirate tour—shiver me timbers! What tickles your fancy? Don’t forget to bring your own props for those photo opps—because what good is a pirate without a parrot on your shoulder?

Add a Snackle-Box to any tour- $45- serves 2-4 people
This delicious treat is made right here in Bayfield at Bodin’s and includes generous portions of sugar-cured smoked salmon, lake trout and whitefish, paired with some cheese, meat, nuts, crackers, pickled herring, pickles, olives and smoked whitefish spread, plus a cookie for dessert!
